This level is for the beginner student experiencing their first year of dance or moving up from our Starz Program. Students continue building the foundation of dance while gaining self condience and poise.

Dance Kidz: Grades 1-2
Dance Kidz is for the beginner student experiencing their first year of dance or moving up from a KinderCombo class. Students develop a sense of rhythm and musicality through the basics of tap dance. Children learn the correct disciplines of the ballet barre, ballet positions, body alignment and center floor works. As the finishing touch, young dancers are also introduced to the exhilarating world of jazz dance
Attire: Black leotard, pink or tan tights, pink ballet shoes, black Mary jane tap shoes, tan jazz shoes
Class Frequency: One 90-minute class per week

my family loves this studio
Teachers and dancers welcomed my daughter as one of their own. Studio Dee has loving and caring teachers and is wonderful for Rec classes as well as competitive dancing. Can't recommend this studio enough for tiny dancers as well as older.
K. Early
Grove Kidz: Grades 1-2
This class teaches rhythm, coordination, musicality, and hip hop choreography without suggestive music/movements. Students are challenged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced dance class. Our Hip Hop dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun. This is an excellent class for high-energy kids who want to take a fast and fun dance class.
Attire: Comfortable street-wear, tennis shoes or dance sneakers
Class Frequency: One 45-minute class per week
Class Levels: Hip Hop 1: Ages 6-7

Performances: Holiday Performance & Spring Recital
Students will learn the fundamentals of musical theatre dance. These classes will focus on different genres of dance (jazz, hip-hop, tap) to explore the many popular songs of Broadway. All music and choreography is carefully chosen to be age appropriate and FUN!
Attire: Black leotard, tan tights, tan jazz shoes (may need tap shoes)
